58 Days Till Election Day: New polls from Indiana, Louisiana

STATE POLLING

Just two new polls today, from Indiana (Trump +7) and Louisiana (Trump +6).

And while both states are solidly Republican, these two polls do give us a bit of pause, as they are about half of what Trump was polling each state just a month ago. Because neither state is polled heavily, due to not being swing states, it's hard to tell if this was due to changing to "likely voter" polling or if it shows an actual drop of support for Trump. Just something to keep an eye on.

Currently, Clinton has a 200 to 155 "safe" electoral lead over Trump with a projected overall lead of 322 to 216. Here are the current averages from the battleground states:

Leaning Republican

South Carolina: Trump up by 5.6%
Maine (CD2): Trump up by 4%
Georgia: Trump up by 2.7%
Arizona: Trump up by 1.7%
Iowa: Trump up by 1.2%
Ohio: Trump up by 1%

Leaning Democrat

North Carolina: Clinton up by 1.9%
Florida: Clinton up by 2.1%
Michigan: Clinton up by 2.7%
Wisconsin: Clinton up by 3.2%
Nevada: Clinton up by 3.5%
New Hampshire: Clinton up by 4.6%
Colorado: Clinton up by 5%
Pennsylvania: Clinton up by 5.3%
Virginia: Clinton up by 5.6%

Here are the State Polling Averages for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

NATIONAL POLLING

No new national polls today.

The current composite polling average in a four-candidate field has Clinton leading Trump by 2.2%.
