STATE POLLING
New polls today from Iowa (Trump +4), Alaska (Trump +3), Colorado (tied), Ohio (Clinton +3), Oregon (Clinton +8), Virginia (Clinton +12), and Illinois (Clinton +17)
The usual mixed bag of polling news today, which it should be noted were all conducted before the bombshell "October Surprise" Trump video leaked.
Trump is doing well in Iowa, has (at least for one poll) kept Colorado in play, while Clinton has all but sewn up Virginia, has knocked down Trump's large lead in Alaska, and most importantly for her, tied everything up in Ohio.
But will any of this matter?
With "grab 'em by the pussy" suddenly dominating the media (although some are more genteel in using the word), dozens of high-ranking Republicans rescinding their endorsements of Trump or even downright calling for him to step down in favor of Mike Pence, and seemingly hourly revelations of other misconduct and misogynistic comments, things are already looking terrible for Trump.
And we have a debate tonight.
Could this be the end of Trump's quixotic run for the presidency? Sure, we'll need at least until Friday to get a true sense of the polling changes, but dozens upon dozens of analysts and political insiders have all but written Trump's political obituary.
And we still have a debate tonight.
