STATE POLLING
New polls today from Ohio (Trump +5), Pennsylvania (Clinton +4) Virginia (Clinton +7), Florida (Clinton +5), Oregon (Clinton +12), Delaware (Clinton +21), two from Colorado (Clinton +11 and Clinton +7), and two from North Carolina (Clinton +1 and Clinton +3).
Good news this morning for Team Trump, as Ohio continues to break their way.
Other than, it was all Team Clinton. She increased her lead in all the states that were polled today (with the exception, as noted above, of Ohio) and moved Colorado from "leaning" to "likely".
And as can be seen from our map, where Ohio was once the swing state (pretty much no modern candidate was won the White House without winning Ohio), the state's demographics and importance have changed to the point where it's not quite the prize it used to be. Clinton can afford to lose Ohio and still win handily if she holds on to North Carolina and Florida (plus her other Blue Wall states).
Much of the polling increases for Clinton are fairly obvious fallout to what many see as "the worst week ever" for Donald Trump, and with his latest missteps, his big hope today is for the attention to shift to his running mate in tonight's Vice Presidential debate. If the debate can dominate headlines for even a day, Trump might be able to set aside all the current controversies and retake control of his messaging. The operative here, however, is "might"...and judging from his behavior the past week, that may be a big order.
Currently, Clinton has a projected overall lead of 322 to 216. Here are the current averages from the battleground states:

Maine (CD2): Trump up by 6.9%
Nebraska (CD2): Trump up by 6%
